How to enter
If you are at all interested in riding PBP in 2019, the advice is to ride the
longest possible BRM or RM event in the 2018 season (before 31 October 2018).
AUK's BRM events can be found here, and the worldwide calendars will soon be
available from the ACP and RM websites. These rides are not qualifiers but are
sometimes referred to as 'pre-qualifiers'.
The date at which you will be able to pre-register for PBP will depend on the distance of your longest
BRM or RM
1200km or 1000km
'Pre-qualifiers' are not the same as qualifiers.
Whatever you've ridden in 2018 you still need to qualify for PBP by riding a Super Randonneur series of
BRM rides (one each at a minimum of 200km, 300km, 400km, 600km) before the end of June 2019
(dates may vary from country to country). The dates for qualifying BRM events in the UK in 2019 are:
200km: Saturday 12th January - Sunday 28th April
300km: Saturday 16th March - Sunday 26th May
400km: Saturday 13th April - Sunday 2nd June
600km: Saturday 4th May - Sunday 23rd June
Not all AUK events are 'qualifying rides' - these are clearly marked as BRM (PBP) on the event details
in the Audax UK Calendar
During the qualifying periods it is expected that all the rides in the calendar for the distance required in
that period will actually be 'Randonneur Mondiaux' events.
The above dates are specific to the UK. It is possible to substitute one or more qualifying RM events
from other countries, but in this case the dates may vary.
Registration is not the same as pre-registration
Registration will open on 1 June 2019.
If you pre-registered you need start the registration process before 18 June 2019 or the benefit of your
pre-registration will be lost.
You can start the registration process before having completed the qualifying rides but you will need to
provide any missing homologation numbers before Registration closes on 3 July 2019.
Riders will start in waves of 300 every 15 minutes. In order to reduce the waiting time, riders will have
to select an exact start time at registration.
