Tour of Yorkshire 2018:

Following the hugely successful Tour de France Grand Depart in 2014, the Tour de Yorkshire is a legacy
event and quickly becoming a high quality professional race. In 2014 it started with a 2 day event and
now has increased to a 4 day event attracting the biggest names in cycling.

This is your chance to experience the Yorkshire Dales and ride stage 4 of the Tour of Yorkshire the day
before the professionals ride it.
Our base in Skipton (gateway to the dales) is ideal for the weekend, giving us excellent access to the

Sir Gary Verity said: “It was a proud moment unveiling the full route today. We’ve worked hard to
design a dramatic and varied parcours which takes in some of our county’s most spectacular terrain.
I’m sure the world’s best riders will relish the challenge it poses and we’ll be treated to a tremendous
fourth edition.
“Last year’s race attracted 2.2 million spectators, and now that is has been extended from three to
four days, the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire promises to be the biggest and best one yet.”

Mark Cavendish says he "definitely" wants to race in next year's four-day Tour de Yorkshire.

Friday 4th May: Arrival Day & Stage 2 Barnsley to Ilkley 149km
Arriving before lunch at the
Hotel Rendezvous,
North Yorkshire.

If arriving into Skipton by train between 08:30hrs and 12:00hrs,
we will operate a free shuttle service to the Hotel every 15 - 20
After your arrival we shall travel to see the stage on
Cote de Old Pool Bank or the finish in Ilkley.

Saturday 5th May: Riding Day (Stage 4)
Today you will have the opportunity ride stage 4 of the
Tour de Yorkshire 2018
This vicious final stage features no less than six classified climbs and
3,400 metres of ascent.
Starting in Halifax, the route first heads north into undulating terrain,
first tackling four categorised climbs, after visiting Middleham, the route
turns south tackling a further two categorised climbs before finishing in
Leeds, in the same spot that the 2014 Tour de France Grand Départ
kicked off.

Sunday 6th May: Stage 4 Halifax to Leeds 189.5km
After a relaxing breakfast, we shall travel to see today's stage using our
expert knowledge of the region.
Stage 4 is to be the Queen Stage of Tour de Yorkshire 2018 with six categorised climbs
totalling 3,400 metres of ascent.

·  Hebden Bridge climb7km @ 4.6%
·  Goose Eye 1.5km @ 10%
·  Barden Moor 1km @ 9.5%
·  Park Rash2.2km @ 10.5%
·  Greenhow Hill 3.3km @ 8.2%
·  Otley Chevin1.4km @ 10.3%

Monday 7th May: Departure Day
Buffet Breakfast followed at 08:30hrs by a steady 2hrs morning ride returning to shower and change
before a mid day departure. Alternatively relax at the hotel and enjoy the leisure facilities before
